No. An indicative appraisal has a more limited purpose and level of analysis. A detailed valuation is scoped for defined users and a specific purpose. A tax, court, statutory or agreement-based requirement must be identified before the engagement is accepted.

Fees depend on the purpose, complexity, records available, entities or interests involved and reporting requirements. After scoping, we provide a written proposal with the fee basis, inclusions and terms. A materially different purpose or scope may require a revised proposal.

We agree an expected timetable after understanding the scope and information available. Missing records, complex ownership arrangements or required third-party input may affect delivery. Tell us your decision deadline at the first discussion.

We first review the rights, restrictions, relevant agreements and valuation purpose. Whole-practice value and the value of an individual interest may differ. A pro-rata calculation or minority discount should not be assumed without that review.
